Trimester portions for மழலை to நிலை 8

Portions from 2nd trimester: 80%, 1st trimester: 20%

Portions from 3rd trimester: 60%, 1st and 2nd trimester: 20% each


No Exams for முன் மழலை and Holiday on exam days.

All students from முன் மழலை will move to மழலை.

Exam policy

Use It or Lose It


ATA follows a use-it or lose-it policy when it comes to trimester examinations. That means students should make use of the exams otherwise they will lose the scores for the exams that they miss. This policy is due to various logistics / operational issues that most non-profit organizations will have, such as volunteer availability and the fairness of the alternate question paper etc.,


Our goal is to keep students Tamil skills fine-tuned, so missing a trimester due to an unavoidable situation is understood and it won't affect students progression much. However we won't encourage missing the exams for petty reasons. Exam assessment is purely based on the following criteria.


If a child miss a trimester, he/she is going to lose some percent (%) of mark in their overall grading so it won't affect much on their final grade/progression, as long as they maintain the Attendance, Homework and Securing good grades in the other 2-trimester exams.
